– A Disclosure of the Demonic Devices of Deception: Part ONE In This Series
A REAL DARK NEWS Exclusive
By James Fire
The late Dr. Chuck Missler once asked the very poignant question in regards to UFO’s:
“The question isn’t, ‘Are they real?’ but rather ‘What are they really?’”
Extraterrestrial Biological Entities (EBE’s)? Incredibly sophisticated mechanical beings sent to our world by intelligences beyond our solar system (as some suggest of “the grays”)? Or perhaps these are non-corporeal beings that can manifest themselves in physical form for (devious) purposes of their own?
I favor the last option personally and for very good reasons which I will relate in this treatment. However, it’s vital that we examine such non-corporeal creatures as described for us in the Scripture, so for the remainder of Part ONE, let’s do just that!
EZEKIEL had encounters with these super-angels (EZEK 10:1-22), called cherubim (Jewish sages observed that cherubim are as far above the angels as angels are above humanity; cherubim is the plural form, the singular is cherub).
Let’s consider what the significance of these things is in the record of these encounters:
EZEKIEL 10:1
1 And I looked, and there in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubim, there appeared something like a sapphire stone, having the appearance of the likeness of a throne.
Firmament here refers to the open skies, that which is before the heavenlies that in this case, the cherubim are currently under. The Hebrew word for “appeared” and “appearance” are different, but in the first instance, the meaning could be “something discerned” and in the second instance, “a vision” – in both cases there is an intimation that what Ezekiel is seeing, is a sort of window into the spiritual domain. He sees an object that resembles a throne, which suggests that there is more to this object than what one typically recognizes as a throne. This isn’t all that surprising since the object is after all, the very throne of the Almighty GOD!
EZEKIEL 10:2
Then He spoke to the man clothed with linen, and said, “Go in among the wheels, under the cherub, fill your hands with coals of fire from among the cherubim, and scatter them over the city.” And he went in as I watched.
Who this man is, is not readily discernable; some have suggested the Person of Christ, or perhaps a lesser angelic being (than the cherubim). It doesn’t seem plausible that this is Ezekiel as he is the one observing this man who was given the command to go “among the wheels… [and] …fill your hands with coals of fire… and scatter them over the city [that being Jerusalem]”. He does appear in another angelic vision in DAN 10:5; 12:6-7. In that passage it seems evident that the “man” is an angelic being (there are times in Scripture where angels are referred to as a “man” (DAN 9:21)).
Jerusalem would fall under the Judgment of GOD for her rebellion and wanton devotion to the false gods of the pagans. Fire is almost always an idiom either for GOD’s presence, refinement and empowerment (ACTS 2:1-3; ZECH 13:9; ISAIAH 6:6-8) or His judgment (PSALM 21:9; 89:46; EZEK 21:31).
Note the Hebrew word for “wheels” is galgal, which can mean “a wheel” but also “a whirlwind, a rolling thing, heaven” – we would say, a vortex – such as a tornado or perhaps even a black hole (both of which draw in air or light respectively). There is a different word used for “wheel” in vs. 10 (ophan) which simply means “a thing that revolves, like a wheel”.
EZEKIEL 10:3-10
3 Now the cherubim were standing on the south side of the temple when the man went in, and the cloud filled the inner court. 4 Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub and paused over the threshold of the temple; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD’S glory. 5 And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even in the outer court, like the voice of Almighty God when He speaks. 6 Then it happened, when He commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, “Take fire from among the wheels, from among the cherubim,” that he went in and stood beside the wheels. 7 And the cherub stretched out his hand from among the cherubim to the fire that was among the cherubim and took some of it and put it into the hands of the man clothed with linen, who took it and went out. 8 The cherubim appeared to have the form of a man’s hand under their wings. 9 And when I looked, there were four wheels by the cherubim, one wheel by one cherub and another wheel by each other cherub; the wheels appeared to have the color of a beryl stone. 10 As for their appearance, all four looked alike-as it were, a wheel in the middle of a wheel.
The “cloud” here is in reference to the Shekinah Glory, the Presence of God, the presence of His holiness. In Egypt, it was the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. It dwelt in the Tabernacle and lead the people for 40 years through the wilderness (EXOD 40:34-35; 1 KINGS 8:10-11). Scripture states that [physical] clouds [of water vapor and ice crystals] are “the dust of His feet”. And note in this passage, “whirlwind” again appears:
NAHUM 1:3
The LORD is slow to anger and great in power and will not at all acquit the wicked. The LORD has His way In the whirlwind and in the storm, And the clouds are the dust of His feet.
So where we see “cloud{s)” in any text, we don’t have to assume what’s being referred to are the sort of clouds we see in the sky (though that certainly may be the case), but may be indications of interaction between the heavenly and earthly realms.
We are witnessing here the departure of the Spirit of the LORD from the Temple, the LORD leaving His people, albeit reluctantly, because they had forsaken Him. Therefore He is forsaking (for now) His Temple. The thunderous roar of the wings of the Cherubim indicate that they are preparing to leave along with their LORD.
Notice He pauses at the threshold: thresholds are extremely significant in Scripture – they speak of “entering in” to covenant with GOD. The LORD spoke to Noah to come in (enter) into the ark that had only one door; Abraham entered into covenant with the LORD GOD Who alone entered and walked in the midst of the cloven beasts of sacrifice; the blood of the Passover Lamb was across the posts and lentils, which inevitably drained into the ‘trough’ at the threshold; the Levitical priests entered into the Tabernacle through only one door and there was only one way into the holy place as well as the holy of holies.
The LORD Jesus Christ stated that He is the Door:
JOHN 10:7-9
7 Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 “All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. 9 “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
Scripture speaks of a door opening in heaven that allowed John the Apostle access into the very throne room of GOD (REV 4:1). An obvious point, but all doors have thresholds.
Notice how closely associated these wheels are with the cherubim (seemingly each of these four wheels have another wheel inside of them – perhaps one along the horizontal axis and the other along the vertical? See vs. 17: “When the cherubim stood still, the wheels stood still, and when one was lifted up, the other lifted itself up, for the spirit of the living creature was in them.”).
EZEKIEL 10:11-13
11 When they went, they went toward any of their four directions; they did not turn aside when they went but followed in the direction the head was facing. They did not turn aside when they went. 12 And their whole body, with their back, their hands, their wings, and the wheels that the four had, were full of eyes all around. 13 As for the wheels, they were called in my hearing, “Wheel.”
Fountains issue water into the air; I find it curious that one of the definitions of the Hebrew word ayin is fountain. It’s most commonly interpreted as “eye” but is not the eye itself a kind of fountain that issues light into the body?
We associate light with that which manifests and reveals something, in most cases, information (EPH 5:13; 1 COR 4:5).
The LAMB of GOD has seven eyes (REV 5:6), and seven being the number of perfection and, or completion, we rightly attribute to Him perfect and complete knowledge, wisdom, discernment, insight; His eyes elsewhere are seen as a flame of fire (REV 1:14; 2:18; 19:2) which judges and tests and discerns all, with no ability of their own to keep anything concealed (HEB 4:13).
So while these cherubim are “full of eyes” they are not perfect and complete in their knowledge and discernment as is the LORD Jesus Christ, but the fact that they have so many eyes makes their ability and acquisition for knowledge and wisdom most formidable, far beyond the reach of mortals.
We see here the conjoining of the two different Hebrew words for “wheel” in association. “As for the wheels (ophan), they were called in my hearing, ‘Wheel’ (galgal). These dual revolving objects together comprised “Wheel” or as we noted before – a vortex.
We see something similar when Elijah was caught up into the heavenlies bodily:
2 KINGS 2:1,11
And it came to pass, when the LORD was about to take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
11 Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
Elijah was taken up; he departed from this world and we see two operatives functioning here: a whirl wind, and chariots and horses of fire. Note where this event took place: Gilgal, which intriguingly has galgal as its root word: “wheel”! The prophet wasn’t merely taken up into the sky, but into the heavenlies, that is, the celestial.
The means of his ascension – one could even say, ‘rapture’ was this whirlwind – a vortex indeed and these chariots (“rekeb”) – which can be translated as “millstone”: something that revolves, and also as “a vehicle”, as well as these horses (sus) – “leaping, rapid flight”). Chariots and horses are of fire (esh), which simply means “fire, burning, hot, fiery” I would venture to say, noncorporeal as in without tangible substance as fire itself is not a solid but a gaseous material.
These cherubim and their accompanying wheels are themselves closely associated with the throne of GOD, which intimates that this throne itself is a kind of vehicle by which the Almighty in His Majesty chooses to visit our domain (a chariot throne as it were):
PSALM 18:9-10
9 He bowed the heavens also and came down with darkness under His feet. 10 And He rode upon a cherub and flew; He flew upon the wings of the wind.
“Bowed” in Hebrew is natah, meaning (among many words) “to bend, to extend, outstretch, cause to yield”. This strikes me as the LORD GOD in venturing from heaven to earth crosses from the one domain into the other through a portal or vortex that “bends” our space-time continuum by which He enters in. Note that He rides upon a cherub – “upon the wings of the wind” (which can easily be translated as “the borders – extremity – of the Spirit”. It’s as if He rides on a vehicle (as did Elijah), which connects to the cherubim as seen in Ezekiel and their association with the throne of GOD.
EZEKIEL 10:14-18
14 Each one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, the second face the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle. 15 And the cherubim were lifted up. This was the living creature I saw by the River Chebar. 16 When the cherubim went, the wheels went beside them; and when the cherubim lifted their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also did not turn from beside them. 17 When the cherubim stood still, the wheels stood still, and when one was lifted up, the other lifted itself up, for the spirit of the living creature was in them. 18 Then the glory of the LORD departed from the threshold of the temple and stood over the cherubim.
These cherubim strongly resemble what we see earlier in EZEK 1:5,15 and later in REV 4:6-8; 5:6-8,14; 6:1,6; 7:11; 14:3; 15:7; 19:4. The one notable difference are the faces: Ezekiel describes these four faces as resembling a man, a lion, and an eagle – and “the face of a cherub” (whatever that looks like).
REVELATION lists the four faces as being “like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.” (REV 4:7).
It’s interesting to note that where the calf is missing in Ezekiel’s vision and replaced with the face of a cherub, that this is also the direction that these cherubim (at this point in time) go – in the direction that the face of the cherub points toward. The movement of these cherubim seems restricted to the cardinal directions of north, south, east and west and that one of any of these four are always dedicated to travel in its appointed direction (i.e., the face of the lion let’s say theoretically, always points north where the cherub would fly and while traveling in that direction, the face of the lion would transform to “the face of a cherub” and where the face of the eagle always travels west, whenever the cherubim travel in that direction, its face transforms into “the face of a cherub” – and so on. The cherubim are on the move here, whereas in REVELATION they are “before the throne” – stationary.
Notice where the Spirit of the LORD departs from again – from the threshold – the entry way that led into the Temple, which faces what direction? East.
And when the LORD Jesus Christ returns to the Temple (I believe a newly built Temple, not the one that the antichrist desecrates) He will enter the way in which He left here in EZEKIEL 10.
EZEKIEL 10:19-22
19 And the cherubim lifted their wings and mounted up from the earth in my sight. When they went out, the wheels were beside them; and they stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD’S house, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them. 20 This is the living creature I saw under the God of Israel by the River Chebar, and I knew they were cherubim. 21 Each one had four faces and each one four wings, and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings. 22 And the likeness of their faces was the same as the faces which I had seen by the River Chebar [from EZEK 1], their appearance, and their persons. They each went straight forward.
We know that Satan, aka Lucifer is classified as a cherub (EZEK 28:11-19; esp. vs. 14-16) and that in the rebellion of heaven, he drew a third of the angelic hosts with him (REV 12:4). While nothing in any text reveals this, I think it’s entirely reasonable that among the 33% of all the hosts of heaven, at least some of them that followed Lucifer are themselves cherubim and seraphim; I would hazard a guess that these represent “the principalities and powers” (his four and three star generals as it were) in his hierarchy of command as seen in EPH 6).
Tactically speaking, Satan has a disadvantage of 1 to 2 odds against his favor. He can’t better his odds by having his fallen hosts procreate, since angels can’t procreate among themselves any more than glorified humanity won’t be able to procreate among ourselves in the coming kingdom (MATT 22:30).
This does not however preclude the rebellious nature and agenda of these evil angels who were somehow able to procreate with human women when they “left their first estate” and manifest themselves physically, for which the guilty parties have been banished (JUDE 1:6; 2 PET 2:4).
The account of GENESIS 6 details this, and in that account it states that these things transpired in the days of Noah and “also after that” in the land of Canaan where there were entire tribes of nephilim (from the Hebrew word nephal, meaning “the fallen ones). Such tribes as the Rephaim, the Emims, the Zanzummim to name but a few are all offspring of these unholy unions, which is why GOD ordered their decimation by the sword of Israel.
These served Satan as incumbents to the children of Israel, in an attempt to prevent their entering into and conquering the land promised to them by GOD.
Yet, as with the nephilim that all died in the Flood as well as the giants slain in Canaan, Satan still needs to build up his resources. Hence we are, I believe experiencing:
Because angels are typically spiritual in nature, they have a transformative ability to become like and seen as men (never women as the essential nature of angels seems to be masculine), and Scripture is replete with examples of angels appearing as men (such as in ACTS 1:10-11).
There are other times when angels are seen in their true form, and perhaps these are examples of the super-class of angels (cherubim, seraphim) who, when they appear leave the prophets as well as Apostle John stricken with dread and fearful reverence (DAN 10; REV 19).
We know that Satan himself can appear as an angel of light (2 COR 11:14) and that he seeks to emulate the Almighty (ISAIAH 14:14). We also know that Satan aka “the red dragon” will one day be openly worshiped by “the inhabiters of the earth” (REV 13:4).
How will Satan’s strategy transpire from this point in time to the time in which he will be worshiped as god by Earth’s population? What has all this got to do with aliens and UFO’s?
We will begin our examination of these questions in Part TWO in this series!
In the meantime, if you’d like to read a series I did previously about these bizarre matters, you can do so at this link:
