On January 13th a tip was forwarded to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Louisiana State Police concerning an Instagram account belonging to an individual within their jurisdiction.
During the investigation, authorities discovered explicit conversations between an account belonging to 18-year-old Lakien D. Perry of Sulphur, Louisiana and an unidentified account.
In those conversations, Perry provided both videos and still images of her sexually assaulting both a 5-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl. She had been sending these since December 2019.
On January 17th Perry was arrested an booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on 7 counts of 1st degree rape; 20 counts of sexual battery; and pornography involving a juvenile. Her bond was set at $2.8 million by Judge Robert Wyatt. She remains in custody.
The Sheriff's Office stated that the investigation is ongoing.
