Danny Tetley, who had previously pleaded guilty last month to five counts of causing sexual exploitation of a minor, has been sentenced to nine years in prison with eight years supervised probation following his release.
“Many will see you, I’m afraid, for what you are, to some extent: a despicable creature with very few redeeming features,” The Recorder of Bradford, Judge Durham Hall told Tetley during the sentencing hearing. The level to which you sank, Mr Tetley, was unbelievable.”
Hall also reminded him that there was a large amount of interest in his case and the sentencing “because of the extent of the depravity displayed in this case, including a number of young victims, but also your celebrity status, now gone, tarnished and destroyed."
The Bradford Crown Court heard during the sentencing hearing how Tetley used his fame to manipulate young boys into sending images to him thereby satisfying his "perverted sexual needs."
Described as "highly predatory and manipulative," the court was told that Tetley spent many "thousands of pounds" for images from seven boys ages 14- 16, and even told one "the more on show, the better the price."
