
Rosepine, Louisiana: Vernon Parish Sheriff Sam Craft announced three arrests related to the sex trafficking of a child and said more arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
The "extensive investigation" began in August 2021.
"The investigation into the systematic abuse of this child is ongoing and additional arrests are expected. The safety and well-being of our young citizens is of the utmost importance. We will continue to diligently investigate, arrest, and seek prosecution for those responsible for these types of reprehensible crimes," Craft said.
"The victim disclosed to detectives, DCFS workers, and a pediatric physician that the abuse had been ongoing and involved several individuals who engaged in sexual contact with her from the age of 8 to 11," Craft elaborated.
Everett D. West, 41, Dina K. Guidry, 56, and Bobby Allen Tisdale, 38, were arrested on Monday, November 1.
All three remain in custody at this time. Their court date is not known at this time.
Everett D. West has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, first-degree rape of a victim under the age of 13, and indecent behavior with a juvenile. His bond was set at $400,000.
Dina K. Guidry has been charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile, human trafficking, improper supervision of a minor by a parent or guardian, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, and 4 counts of first-degree rape of a victim under the age of 13. Her bond has been set at $2.95 million.
Bobby Allen Tisdale has been charged with 4 counts of first-degree rape of a victim under the age of 13, improper supervision of a minor by a parent or guardian, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, and indecent behavior with a juvenile. His bond was set at $3.1 million.
Tisdale is accused of offering the child to various people for sexual purposes, and the "victim indicated that Guidry was present in the room on numerous occasions while she was being sexually assaulted," Craft stated.
There were other children in the home as well that the victim indicated were also the victims of physical abuse. All children have been removed and placed into the custody of the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services.
