Penns Grove, New Jersey: On the night of Friday, December 3, 911 received an open call in which an "audible disturbance" could be heard in the background.
Officers were dispatched to the apartment and when they arrived, they found 26-year-old Kristhie I. Alcazar arguing with an unidentified individual and her 5-month-old daughter, deceased, with visible stab wounds to the chest.
The girl's father was not at home.
"Multiple knives and additional evidence were recovered from the scene."
The child, whose name has not been released, was determined to have died from the multiple stab wounds and her cause of death was determined to be homicide.
Alcazaer has been charged with murder and a weapons offense, and is being held in the Salem County Jail without bond.
