Boise, Idaho: In February 2021 Aaron Williams, who was on probation following a domestic violence conviction, was arrested and charged with murder of his fiancée's two-year-old son.
In October 2021 Williams plead guilty to a charge of first-degree murder.
On Friday, April 29, 2022, 32-year-old Williams was sentenced to 25-years to life in prison. He will not be eligible for parole until 25 years have been served according to the press release issued by the Ada County prosecutor's office.
Ada County District Judge Derrick O'Neill additionally ordered Williams to pay $11,553 in restitution to the boy's family.
"I extend my deepest condolences to the victim's family in this case," Ada County Prosecutor Jan Bennetts said. "My office takes child abuse cases very seriously, and I'm grateful for the work of my team and the Garden City Police Department for their thorough investigation and dedication to this case, as it helped my office ensure justice was served."
