You may have recently heard the phrase, “the 7 Noahide Laws” or read stories about them being signed into U.S. law by George H. W. Bush back in 1991. You may have wondered what these mysterious Noahide laws are. Or maybe, like me, you initially didn’t think anything of it at all because it “sounded biblical.” Or, even worse, maybe you thought something along the lines of, “Praise Jesus! Christianity is making a breakthrough in Washington D.C., revival is coming!”
Christians beware. Just because the name Moses, Abraham, Noah, God, or even Jesus, show up in public discourse, does NOT automatically make it biblical.
“But don’t let my name fool you.”
Little John, Robinhood, Men in Tights
Noah here, is not meant in the sense of, “Laws written by one of the spiritual patriarchs of the faith who is loved and revered by Christians.” But rather, according to the Talmud (where the Noahic Laws originate) is a Jewish term meaning, “The offspring of Noah”—specifically, descendants of Ham and Japeth (as in, the gentile nations that came from Noah.) It is a clever euphemism that, on the surface, gives no Christian pause, but is meant as a means of declassifying 2/3rds of Noah’s descendants into a category that omits them from any biblical covenants made between God and man. Or, to conjure an Old Testament picture, it is putting all of us gentiles back “outside the camp.”
Public Law 102-14 is anything but a leap forward for Evangelical Christianity; but rather, it is a multi-millennial leap back to antiquity where the Israelites were set apart with special rights and godly favor within their theocratic camp; while all of the pagan nations were kept at arm’s length—uninvited to the party.
“Moses our Teacher was commanded by the Almighty to compel the world to accept the Commandments of the Sons of Noah. Anyone who fails to accept them is executed.”
Mishneh Torah (Rambam), Laws of Kings and Wars, 8.13
Public Law 102-14
“On March 20th 1991 the United States Congress passed H.J Res 104, which was then signed into law by President George H. W. Bush and became Public Law No. 102-14. The language of the law asserts that the “Seven Noahide Laws” are the ethical values of civilized society and are the basis on which the American nation was founded and that without these Seven Noahide Laws society stands in peril. It is also stated that it is our nation’s “responsibility” to transmit these “ethical values” to the generations of the future and that in the future the President of the United States will sign an “international scroll” pledging to return the world to the Seven Noahide Laws through education and charity.” (Vincent Bruno, eBlogger, self-described as an American Hindu and Activist).
The “universal scroll” that Vincent Bruno is referring to comes directly out of the verbiage of Public Law 102-14, where it states, “Whereas this will be reflected in an international scroll of honor signed by the President of the United States and other heads of state….”
Public Law 102-14 also commemorates the birthday of Rabbi Schneerson—a man, according to the law who is “universally respected and revered.”—and a man who, I might add, has gone on public record stating, “…all non-Jews are satanic.”
I don’t know what “universally revered” meant in 1991, way back before the days of Twitter and Instagram—the forums that make even the fools famous—but if this guy is so universally respected and revered, how come no one I know has ever heard of him; and given his glowing reputation, why was Public Law 102-14 basically signed into law in a non-publicized, covert meeting?
Gentile Pride
Not surprisingly, the Noahide Law movement has adopted the rainbow for its insignia. This, in itself may hide a host of esoteric enigmas, and is likely being used to subliminally reinforce the parallels between the inferior spiritual state of non-Jews and the LGBTQ movement; more so than the more-obvious parallel between gentiles and the biblical Noahic covenant (which Yahweh sealed with the sign of a rainbow in the sky).
Rather than linking our Christian identity as grafted-into-the-Olive-Tree branches with the God of the Noahic Covenant; the choice of the rainbow is more than likely an inside joke – making a Luciferian laughingstock out of non-Jewish believers by linking them to the same modern symbol of pride adopted by those who practice homosexuality.
The rainbow symbology further functions as a pneumatic device, as the colors of the “ROY G. BIV” rainbow we learn about in grade school symbolize red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet—the seven 7 colors of the rainbow, which parallels the number of rules that comprise the Noahide Laws—seven.
By selecting 7 laws for non-Jews (instead of the standard 10 commandments) they are perhaps subliminally linking the number 7 to a number that is given significance in the Bible (7th day Sabbath, 7 churches, 7 angels, 7 seals, 7 trumpets, etc.), therefore, creating a subliminal parallel between these 7 laws and the significance that Scripture writers put upon the number 7. This subconsciously gives credence to the Noahide Laws because 7 is a number that students of Scripture associate with God. Furthermore, because the number 7 is such a significant number particularly in the book of Revelation, it would not be a stretch for many Christians to believe that there is biblical significance to a set of 7 laws coming into play in the end times “just for the Church.” Christians have been taught to interpret prophecy through dispensational lenses for nigh unto two centuries—namely, that God will deal differently with Jews and non-Jews in the end times. The author is not here stating whether Dispensationalism is true or false; but merely pointing out that this theological framework has provided an Achilles’ heel that Christians need to be mindful to protect before going into eschatological battle.
What’s the Big Deal?
So, the Jews want the Torah to be theirs exclusively. What’s wrong with that? Ancestors of Jews and non-Jews have been perfectly happy with this custody arrangement for two thousand years. The Jews get to live with Dad (Old Testament) and the Christians get to live with Mom (New Testament). [Insert shoulder shrug of indifference here]. Many of you might be saying, “So what? Let the Jews have their Torah. I’m a Christian and I believe the law was abolished by Christ’s death on the cross and we are now living under the law of Grace.”
Please understand—the enforcement of the Noahide Laws is not simply a jealous power grab whereby Jews become the sole possessors of the Torah. This isn’t just about taking the Old Testament away from Christians—it’s about taking CHRIST away from Christian theology.
The very first Noahide law is, “No idolatry.” Because the God of Judaism makes no room for Jesus Christ being one with God, or His being their long-awaited Messiah, worshipping Jesus will equate to idolatry and we will be subject to punishment as the Noahide law (read: the Talmud) decides. And that punishment is this:
“Under the Talmud’s counterfeit Noahide Laws, the worship of Jesus is forbidden under penalty of death, since such worship of Christ is condemned by Judaism as idolatry” (Enziklopediya Talmudit, note 1, pp. 351-352).
Here’s another quote that should bring 1981-memories of A Thief in the Night III (aka Image of the Beast) slamming back into your head:
“The Talmud also states the penalty for disobedience: “One additional element of greater severity is that violation of any one of the seven laws subjects the Noahide to capital punishment by decapitation” (Sanh. 57A).
In summary, this Talmudic, man-made “Noahidic Covenant” is not freedom
from the law—it is Gentile enslavement. It is a reversal of Egypt, with Pharoah
building bricks and the slaves on the throne. It is a covenant-mocking chainsaw,
clashing with Christ, wreaking carnage upon the grafted-in branches of the
Olive Tree.
Know Your Enemy
Our battle is NOT against flesh and blood. (Read: we are not at war with our Jewish brothers and sisters). Our enemies are the enemies of God—hostile, blaspheming, fallen beings from the spiritual realms. Beings that cannot win unless they first divide and conquer.
All of redemptive history and the mystery of the Gospel is this—Christ’s blood covers both Jew and gentile. Any law or system of government that attempts to undo what Christ did on the cross is NOT of God—and will not (ultimately) prevail.
But the onus is on us to fight against such attempts. Christians, be sober-minded and vigilant. Keep your eyes and ears fixed on the Word and question and research the things that you see and hear. Don’t rest on your laurels expecting the intercessors and the pastors of the world to fix everything on your behalf. Pick up the torch and run with it. Be a part of the fight. Turn off your TV and ask God today, “Father, what were the plans You had for me the day I was born? Have I become the man/woman You dreamed for me to be?” If the answer to that question is, “No”—weep. Pray and RESOLVE this day to not squander one more day of your life, sleepwalking down a path that doesn’t lead to the dream God had for you the day you were born. Put down the remote; pick up the sword. The right to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God—which includes the Torah—are rights worth fighting to keep.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
