Concord, New Hampshire: In a statement released by the New Hampshire Department of Justice on Monday, October 24, they announced the arrest of 32-year-old Adam Montgomery for the death of his 5-year-old daughter, Harmony Montgomery who had not been seen since 2019.
Harmony was just reported missing in the closing days of 2021. In January, both Montgomery and his wife, Kayla Montgomery, were arrested.
Montgomery has been in custody since January 5, 2022 and Kayla was initially released, but has now been taken back into custody as of September 9, 2022 for failing to make a scheduled court appearance. The initial charge against her concerned welfare fraud.
Investigators now have reason to believe that Montgomery was responsible for her death on around December 7, 2019 after striking her in the head with a closed fist.
The charges against Montgomery at this time include second-degree murder, falsifying physical evidence, abuse of a corpse and tampering with witnesses.
Montgomery is expected to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court in Manchester to be arraigned on the charges later today.
The Manchester Police Department is still actively investigating the murder of Harmony and continues to ask that anyone with information concerning either the location of her remains or the circumstances surrounding her murder contact the 24-hour tip line at (603) 203-6060.
