UPDATE: The Amber Alert issued for Ana Grace Burke has been cancelled as she was located in Illinois at approximately 9:25 pm on November 12. She is safe and Jonathan Stinnett has been arrested and charged with kidnapping and abduction.
Canton, Ohio: An Amber Alert has been issued for 5-year-old Ana Grace Burke of Canton, Ohio.
She was last seen on Thursday at approximately 6:15 pm at the Goodwill store at 7257 Fulton Drive NW. The shopping center is just across the street from the Jackson Township Police Department.
The Canton Repository reports that she was last seen with 36-year-old Jonathan Lee Stinnett.
Citing a 911 call, the Canton Rep reports that Jonathan and his roommate were watching Ana for her parents. Stinnett is said to have told his roommate that he was taking Ana to the restroom at the McDonald's across the parking lot but instead, left with the girl, stranding his roommate.
Ana was reported missing at 7:33 pm last night.
Stinnett is believed to be driving a 1991 silver Ford Aerostar station wagon with Michigan plates EHL7187.
Ana is described as 3 foot 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 55 pounds. She has blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a pink tee-shirt and rainbow-colored pants.
Stinnett is described as a white male, 5 foot 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds. He has hazel eyes and brown hair, and was last seen wearing a maroon short-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.
Ana's mother's boyfriend told the dispatcher during the 911 call, "We just want our daughter back."
Today, shortly after 2 pm an Amber Alert was issued.
According to Ana's parents, Stinnett and his roommate were planning to move out of their apartment at the Quail Hollow Apartments this weekend and return to Michigan.
Officers have been in contact with Ana's biological father.
The Jackson Township Police are being assisted in the investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Ohio Attorney General's Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
