Police in Bend, Oregon were in the midst of a human trafficking investigation when they conducted a stop on a stolen vehicle on Tuesday, December 24th.
Inside the vehicle was 40 year old Portland resident, Jennifer Johnson and 29 year old Gresham resident, Tyler Ford.
Additionally, police located a 15 year old girl that had been reported as missing from the Portland area.
A search of the vehicle revealed heroine, methamphetamine, and numerous forged and stolen identification documents.
As a result of their investigation, police have reason to believe that the girl was being groomed for trafficking in the commercial sex trade. Police report that she is now safe.
Both Ford and Johnson were booked into the Deschutes County Jail where they are awaiting arraignment.
Ford has been charged with violation of a restraining order by being in proximity of the 15 year old girl and possession of heroine.
Johnson has been charged with numerous counts of identity theft, forgery and criminal possession of instruments of forgery. She has additionally been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, prostitution, and possession of methamphetamine.
