U.S. Marshals apprehend 60-year-old fugitive wanted on child pornography and sexual assault charges

Monday the United States Marshals Service announced the arrest of 60-year-old Charles Joseph Zoph by their Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task force.
On March 3, Zoph was indicted by the Grayson County Grand Jury in Texas on 11 counts of possession of child pornography and six counts of aggravated sexual assault (rape) of a child.
Court records indicate that the assaults date to between 1992 and 1998, and the date associated with the child pornography charges is listed as April 2018.
Zoph will be transported to the Grayson County Jail. He is currently still in custody in the Jefferson County Jail in Illinois.
A court records search for Texas shows that Zoph has previously been charged with a number of vehicular offenses including, driving without a license, and twice, driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license.
Additional charges against him include furnishing alcohol to a minor, parent contributing to non-attendance and possession of more than 2 oz of marijuana.
