Two suspects identified following identification of child’s remains discovered in a suitcase in April

Sellersburg, Indiana: On Wednesday, October 26, Sgt. Carey Huls of the Indiana State Police held a press conference announcing that the boy whose body was found inside a suitcase in April had been identified and that two suspects had been identified as well.

The body of 5-year-old Cairo Ammar Jordan of Atlanta, Georgia was found inside of a hard-shell suitcase by a mushroom hunter in April 2022. He would have turned 6 on Monday, October 24, 2022. Cairo was never reported missing.

An autopsy revealed that Cairo's cause of death was an electrolyte imbalance caused by viral gastroenteritis.

One of the suspects, 40-year-old Dawn Elaine Coleman of Shreveport, Louisiana was located in San Francisco, California and taken into custody on Wednesday, October 19. She will be extradited to Indiana within the next 30 days where she stands charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in death and obstruction of justice.

The second woman, who police are asking for assistance in locating, is the boy's mother, 37-year-old Dejaune Ludie Anderson. As of the press conference, her whereabouts were unknown. Huls disclosed that she had traveled to various locations including Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco.

Anderson has a warrant out for her arrest on charges of neglect of a dependent resulting in death, obstruction of justice, and murder.

According to WHAS, Anderson was previously arrested on several charges including one of child endangerment on March 12, 2022 in South Carolina. The charge stemmed from an incident where she was found driving 90 mph in a 60 mph zone before leading police on a 30-mile pursuit which ended when she ran out of gas. Cairo and Coleman were in the vehicle at the time.

According to the probable cause affidavit released during the press conference, Anderson posted several comments to social media concerning her son.

On February 19, 2022 she is said to have posted, "Can't wait to tell my story: I had to raise my frequency, heal myself and past lives, heal my ancestors, heal s*** in the universe, heal Gaia to exorcism a very powerful demonic force from within my son. (Had ppl in enough alignment with their soul to assist me.)"

Then, on March 15 she posted, "Stop getting caught up in the vessels of this realm. You guys get caught up with how old the body is, if they adult and kids, etc. Don't even know it's a full grown demon in the child body telling you what to do because you didn't choose your soul. Better start using your 3rd eye."

"We have a suspect that's at large," Hulls stated. "We need the public's help. No matter where you live, anywhere in the United States, possibly out of the country, we could use help locating her for Cairo. Help us locate her for Cairo, so justice can be served for him."
