Friday, September 18 officers served a search warrant to the Apple Valley, California residence of 37-year-old David Kanady as the result of an investigation into possible possession of child pornography.
According to the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department statement, an Electronic Service Provider provided a tip concerning the transmission of images and videos depicting child pornography by one of their customers.
The investigation determined that the account in question belonged to Kanady and so detectives with the Crimes Against Children Detail obtained a search warrant for his residence.
During that search, "investigators located two juvenile victims" identified only as one male and one female.
Investigators then conducted an interview with Kanady and after, he was arrested and charged with lewd and lascivious act with a minor, oral copulation, sodomy, penetration with a foreign object, possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, and manufacturing of child pornography.
The initial release from the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department indicates that his bail was set at $250,000 but his jail records indicate that his bail now sits at $750,000. He is scheduled to appear in the Victorville Superior Court on September 29 at 8:30 in the morning.
