Over the course of the last six or seven months, as BLM, Antifa, state governors, politicians, and news media have sought to polarize every people group imaginable, I was folded into a small group of diverse but like-minded individuals all united under one cause—a heart wrenching desire to see people trapped in the LGBTQ lifestyle set free in Christ!
Like many Americans, our team spent the bulk of 2020 conducting business on weekly Zoom calls, in our case, planning a virtual conference—a 20-year dream in the making of Pastor Daryl Whiten. Pastor D, as we all affectionately call him, contacted Bonnie Gasper and me after we appeared on an episode of David Arthur’s weekly You Tube show, Dry Bones.
Within a couple of weeks, we had collected a rag tag team of ten men and women, four ex-LGBTQ individuals, a pastor and his wife, a deliverance ministry team, a writer, and a soccer mom. Nine-tenths of us had no prior experience planning a virtual conference, but despite our lack of experience, the Spirit took over and the conference took shape.
The mission of the Reclaim It! virtual conference is, “To equip the Church to discern the false narratives undergirding the LGBTQ culture and how to best help individuals trapped in this false identity. We believe revival is coming within the LGBTQ community and the Church must know how to share the Truth of God’s Word; to disciple, to nurture, to love, and to help redeemed individuals reclaim their true identity in Christ!”
Reclaim It! team member and board member for the Child Protection League in Minnesota, Bonnie Gasper, explains, “Our goal is to help LGBTQ individuals understand who they really are; that they are image bearers of Almighty God. He doesn’t make mistakes, and He created only two genders. This is a message of love, not condemnation. This is also a message of hope for parents with LGBT children. Because the enemy is using the LGBTQ agenda to destroy our children, our families, and to ultimately destroy the Church. Because it is only in Christ, our children, our families and the Church will discover their TRUE IDENTITY.”
Seven of the conference workshops will be led by ex-LGBTQ individuals; four personal testimonies and three keynote speakers. George Carneal, author of “From Queer to Christ,” speaking in regard to LGBTQ and trans regret says, “Hollywood, culture and the media glamorize and sanitize the LGBTQ lifestyle. Liberal theologians preach a false ‘gay is okay, we’re under grace’ gospel. The public education system teaches kids they can invent their own gender. But countless transgender individuals now say just being affirmed ignored the real issues they struggled with. Thousands now regret their botched surgeries, mutilations and side-effects from hormone blockers and cross sex hormone shots. They ultimately discovered all these things caused more pain, heartache, and regret, not happiness. Yet, too many in the medical field continue treating gender confused children and adults as medical guinea pigs and do not counsel them about the permanent damage and harm these medical interventions cause.”
Carneal will be one of the speakers featured, along with Dr. Michelle Cretella MD, FCP, the President of the American College of Pediatricians. Cretella is a board-certified general pediatrician with a special interest in adolescent mental and sexual health.
Walt Heyer, an ex-trans man who lived as a woman for eight years, will also be presenting. Now in his 80s, Walt travels extensively to share his story of redemption, in hopes to be a beacon of hope to others now living with gender change regret.
Keynote speaker, Dr. Judith Reisman, has dedicated her life to researching and exposing pedophile Alfred Kinsey, Planned Parenthood, and the “sexual from birth” dogma being peddled to children as young as five-years-old in our public schools.
The conference will also feature Jon K. Uhler, MS, LPC, a therapist who specializes in trauma-based disorders, especially as it relates to trauma associated with ritualistic sexual abuse. Uhler also spent 11+ years in the prison system working with incarcerated men, at which time he evaluated and treated approximately 4000 Low and High-Risk sex offenders.
The Reclaim It! virtual conference will be held over Zoom on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM EST (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST). Early bird tickets are just $50 if you register before January 31st (Tickets are $75 after the 31st). The event will be recorded and available to all registrants to re-watch at their leisure.
