According to a statement made by the Onslow County Sheriff's Office, an investigation was opened on December 4th after an anonymous tip came into the “HCMS-Say Something” line indicating a teacher at Hunters Creek Middle School was having an inappropriate relationship with two of her 14 year old male students.
The Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s unit determined that Ashley Henson Beasley, 32, sent inappropriate images and videos of herself to two of her students between October 15th and December 4th.
Beasley had been employed at the school as an eighth grade science teacher since August. On Thursday the 5th she resigned her position and gave up her teaching license.
She was arrested on the 6th and charged with two counts each of indecent liberties with a child and indecent liberties with a student by a teacher. She is being held in lieu of an $80,000 secured bond.
Her next court date is scheduled for January 13th.
