On February 6th, 36-year-old Gary Whisner pleaded guilty to a single charge of distribution of material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor before United States District Judge Marilyn J. Horan.
A forensic search of Whisner's electronic devices had revealed approximately 10,700 images and 800 videos depicting child pornography.
As a part of the guilty plea, Whisner admitted before the court that on August 5, 2017 he shared multiple videos with individuals that depicted the sexual exploitation of children, including two girl that were approximately 10 years old.
Judge Horan has scheduled his sentencing hearing for the morning of May 27, 2020. Whisner could be sentenced to between 5 and 20 years in jail, a fine of $250,000, or both.
