Burlington, Kentucky: Last Friday, April 23, officers with the Books County Sheriff's Department were alerted to a report a child being sexually assaulted by an adult.
Officers investigated the claims and interviewed 34-year-old Justin Radcliff. Radcliff is alleged to have told investigators that he knew the victim and to have "made admissions regarding the allegation." He further told investigators that he had tried to convince the victim, identified only as an 11-year-old, not to tell of the assault.
Radcliff remains in custody in the Boon County Detention Center on a single charge of first-degree rape of someone under the age of 12. His bond was set at $500,000 cash.
Lt. Philip Ridgell with the Sheriff's Office said that they had initially believed that this was an isolated incident and so, did not release many details of the case.
"However, as of today that has changed. The reason we are now releasing information regarding this arrest is that we have a strong belief that there could be more victims," a statement released on Tuesday read.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call (859) 334-4810.
