Clearwater, Florida: Officers announced last Thursday that after a day of investigation they had arrested a man that poses an "imminent threat" to the community.
A day after his birthday, 26-year-old Jacob Alexander Holman was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography and attempted kidnapping. He is currently being held in the Pinellas County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.
During a press conference Major Natalia Illich-Hailey stated that officers had been called to a residence Wednesday morning for reports of a domestic disturbance.
"I truly believe that we saved a life yesterday."
Investigators discovered child pornography on Holman's computer and soon thereafter, a list and video on his cell phone which left little to the imagination.
When asked by one of the reporters if investigators believed that Holman intended to kidnap, rape, and hide the body of a young child, Illich-Hailey answered saying, "It's hard to speculate what in someone's mind, but obviously when we look at it, that was the concern."
According to the arrest report seen by WESH, in the days leading up to his arrest, Holman was gathering items including a flashlight, shovel, gloves, duct tape, a first-aid kid and condom.
Also listed on his cell phone were instructions including "snatch a lil girl" and "throw in trunk."
Footage of what was believed to be a young girl of approximately five years of age was found on his cell phone. It is not clear if Holman had any relation to the female or if she wad his intended target.
Holman has allegedly admitted to making both the list and the video found on his cell phone but provided investigators with no reason behind either.
WFLA indicates that Holman has previous arrests for domestic assault and drug charges.
It is not known at this time when Holman is scheduled to appear in court.
