The sexual assaults perpetrated on a child are said to have happened between January 2018 and October 2020 and only came to light when the parents reviewed the footage captured by an in-home surveillance camera.
When they saw the assaults against their daughter, they turned the footage over to police.
46-year-old Rodrigo Medina was arrested on the evening of October 14 and indicted on three counts of rape and two counts of gross sexual imposition. He is being held in the Butler County Jail and has a Federal hold.
When speaking with investigators, court documents state that the 9-year-old girl was able to describe the assaults “with details that would not be commonly known by a 9-year-old child.”
His court date is not listed in the jail records.
