On August 16th, the Bellevue-Dayton Fire Department was dispatched to a residence on a call for an unresponsive one year old. The infant, later identified as Sean Buttery, Jr., was transported to Cincinnati's Children's Hospital where he later died several hours later.
Following a weeks long investigation, Stacey Schuchart has been arrested and charged with first degree manslaughter. She is currently being held at the Cambell County Jail on $1,000,000 bond, and was due to appear in court today.
In a statement issued by the Dayton Police Department announcing the arrest, they did not disclose the relationship between Schuchart and Buttery Jr though many outlets are labeling her as his mother.
Police have also not disclose any details as to the cause of death for Buttery Jr or what resulted in the manslaughter charge, other than to say that statements given did not match with the injuries the child suffered.
