Sacramento, California: The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department announced the arrest of a third grade teacher within the Sacramento City Unified School District on Monday for charges of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14.
The sheriff's department coordinated with Enrigue Rodriguez Valladares' attorney and on Friday, December 17 he turned himself in.
Valladares remains in the Sacramento County Main Jail with a bond amount of $1 million and is expected to appear in court this afternoon to answer to the charges filed against him.
He has been charged with eight counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14, and one count of molestation of a child under the age of 18.
According to the Sheriff's department there are multiple victims involved spanning between approximately August 2017 and June 2019.
Valladares was a third grade teacher at Bowling Green Chacon Language and Science Academy. Currently Valladares still appears under the faculty listing on the school's website, and there are no statements concerning his arrest.
