Houston, Texas: Sheriff's officers are asking anyone with information about the body of a baby found in a porta potty in the Magnolia Gardens park at approximately 11:30 am Thursday contact Crime Stoppers at (713) 222-TIPS (8477) or the Harris County Homicide Division at (713) 274-9100.
At this time, investigators have no suspects.
At a press briefing on Thursday afternoon Harris County Sheriff's Officer Maj. Susan Cotter was unable to say whether the child was a male or female, but stated that it appeared to be a full-term child with the umbilical cord still attached.
Investigators do not know if the child was born alive.
The company that services the facilities last cleaned them on Monday morning at approximately 9:30 am. Aside from the events of the weekend, the Sheriff's Office doesn't believe the park has been heavily trafficked.
