According to a blotter post released by the Seattle Police Department, they received a call about a suspicious bag on the beach Friday afternoon. Police responded and soon located a second bag in the water.
The contents of the bags were confirmed to be human remains.
Harbor Patrol is assisting with the investigation.
At this time, the remains have been transported to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, and the investigation is ongoing.
No further information has been released at this time.
