Madison, Wisconsin: A tip from the Wisconsin Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force sparked an investigation which ultimately led to the arrest of 74-year-old Peter Olson after a search warrant was executed for the search of his home and electronic devices.
A pastor, Olson was initially charged with four counts of possession of child pornography and booked into the Dane County Jail last Thursday. Officers would not disclose to WMTV the state in which Olson served as a pastor.
On Friday, April 23 he made his first appearance in court where he pleaded not guilty and was later released on $500 bond for each charge.
The case remains under investigation and officers are asking that anyone with information contact the Monona Police Department at (608) 222-0463 or by texting "MONONA" followed by the tip to TIP411 (847411).
