Bronx police announced on Saturday, July 18th that they had made an arrest in the death of Richard Hamlet whose remains had been located earlier in the week on the roof of a McDonald's restaurant.
ABC reports that 18-year-old Ayame Stamoulis and two unidentified males entered Hamlet's apartment evidently expecting it to be empty. When they found him inside, they are said to have begun beating him. The assailants are reported by ABC to have forced him to drink a caustic liquid and then choked him.
No other arrests have been made at this time.
Stamoulis was ordered held without bail at her arraignment on Friday. She currently stands charged with murder, tampering with evidence and concealing a corpse.
