Woman kills one child and critically injures another before going live on Instagram in blood-stained shirt

New Orleans, Louisiana: 31-year-old Janee Pedescleaux is behind bars charged with murdering her 4-year-old daughter, Paris Roberts, and attempting to kill her 2-year-old son who remains in the hospital in critical condition as of Sunday afternoon.

Following the stabbings, Pedescleaux filmed a short video on Instagram which has since been deleted.

"I'm dying," she said, reportedly through tears. "My children are dead. I'm done. I'm done with life. It's all Jermaine's fault."

Jermaine Roberts, the father of the children, was attempting to gain joint custody of the children alleging that Pedescleaux was "not stable or providing a healthy environment for the kids."

Jermaine soon learned of what had happened to the children and surveillance footage shows him pulling up to the house, racing inside, and returning to his vehicle with the two children. He rushed them to the hospital before police responded to the home just after 11:00 am.

At the hospital, Paris succumbed to her injuries, and her brother is being treated for his wounds.

Padescleaux has been charged with second-degree murder, attempted murder, and second-degree cruelty to a juvenile.

She is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
