Springfield, Ohio: 18-year-old Jan Kenwel Dela-Pe-Tolentino is behind bars at the Hamilton County Justice Center following the fatal stabbing of his co-worker 32-year-old Paris Dismukes on Thursday, August 11, 2022.
Shortly before 11:30 that day another employee of BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse called 911 to report that they needed an ambulance immediately as there was an employee bleeding from the neck.
Emergency responders arrived and began rendering aid while Paris was transported to the University of Cincinnati West Chester Hospital with multiple stab wounds. The father of five later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
At the scene, Tolentino's brother and mother made contact with a police officer and told him that Tolentino had stabbed Paris after a witch told him "the other man was going to shoot him in the head with a gun."
Tolentino has been charged with murder and possession of drugs. His bond was set at $500,000 and according to WXIX, he failed to make a scheduled court appearance on Saturday morning.
His next court date is not known.
