On the evening of Friday, April 9 officers with the King City Police Department in Monterey County, California were contacted by Child Protective Services about a report of child molestation possibly involving multiple victims.
Officers responded to a residence where they made contact with, and interviewed two individuals. During the course of their investigation, officers found probable cause to arrest 89-year-old Francisco Sanchez Ybarra.
Ybarra is being held in the Monterey County Jail on two counts of lewd act on a child under the age of 14 and one count of lewd act on a child under the age of 14 with fear or force. Charging enhancements have also been added to the charges.
During the course of the investigation, officers received information which resulted in a tip forwarded to the Yuma County Sheriff's Office in Arizona.
The Sheriff's Department conducted their own investigation into the allegations of child molestation.
Two sisters, reportedly 29 and 11 years old were interviewed at Amberly's Place where they told investigators that their father, 59-year-old Juan Elizondo Fraga had assaulted and molested them.
Fraga has been arrested and charged with molestation of a child and sexual conduct with a minor. He remains in custody at the Yuma County Detention Center in lieu of $500,000 cash bond.
