Columbus, Ohio: Yesterday morning Officers with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office served a narcotics search warrant at a residence neighbors said was a known drug house for approximately the last year yesterday morning.
Deputies were not prepared to find body parts inside the home, however. and now a homicide investigation has been opened by the Columbus Division of Police as the residence falls within their jurisdiction.
Due to the "complexity of the crime scene" CDP has also called in investigators from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation for assistance in the case.
The remains found are believed to have belonged to one or more females. Sgt. James Fuqua said, "We are trying to find out if these body parts belong to one person or multiple people."
A man and a woman who have not been named by investigators at this time were detained by officers.
Neighbors told reporters though, that two women that lived at the home had not been seen for some time.
No arrests had been made as of this morning and the investigation is ongoing.
