Graham, North Carolina: On August 25 officers were called to the Graham Village Apartments on a report of gunfire.
Arriving at approximately 1:00 am, officers located an 18-year-old with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital for treatment.
At that time, investigators reportedly had no reason to believe there were any further victims.
Later that same morning however, officers with the Burlington Police Department contacted the Graham Police Department about a missing persons investigation that they believed may have been related to the earlier shooting incident.
Officers returned to the apartment complex and began to search the area.
At about 11:00 am officers found the bodies of two 16-year-old males in the woods behind the apartment complex.
On Tuesday, September 20, the Graham Police Department announced that a 17-year-old male and a 14-year-old male had been arrested in connection to the shootings.
Both teens, whose names have not been released due to their ages, have been charged with two counts of felony first-degree murder. They are currently being held in a juvenile detention facility.
