The Sandy Springs Police Department posted a brief update on Wednesday regarding the investigation into the December 9, 2020 death of 2-year-old Fallon Fridley.
The boyfriend of Kirstie Flood, 28-year-old Jeffrey Scott Meyers has now been arrested as well.
Meyers has been charged with cruelty to children in the second degree and murder in the second degree.
He remains in custody in the Fulton County Jail.
According to jail records, Meyers has been in and out of custody since July 2017, primarily for drug charges, the most recent of which was a probation warrant issued for possession of cocaine on September 20, 2019.
Flood remains in custody in the Fulton County Jail on charges of two counts of felony murder and one count each of malice murder, aggravated battery, and cruelty to children in the first degree.
People states that neither have entered a plea on the charges they face.
The investigation has not yet concluded and officers are not releasing more information at this time.
