West Hills, California: Officers were dispatched to a neighborhood Saturday night on a disturbance call and returned Sunday morning on a report of assault with a deadly weapon.
Now, two individuals, the mother and a juvenile teenager have been arrested, and three children, a 12-year-old girl and her twin 8-year-old brothers are deceased.
According to CBSLA, 38-year-old Angela Dawn Flores was found by neighbors to be screaming, yelling, praying and lighting candles at a number of homes on the street Saturday night.
One neighbor, Prisila Canales lives two houses down and spoke with CBSLA saying, "I heard someone screaming, 'My family is abusing me,' and all kinds of nonsense. I couldn't make out what it was. I guess at that time she was in our neighbor's yard... burning a candle and she had the Bible out."
Canales reported that "She kept popping up, jumping up saying, 'Where's my Bible? Where's my Bible?'"
Officers arrived and transported her to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
Eight hours later, the second call came in.
Reportedly, the teenage juvenile found his siblings' bodies and ran to a neighbors home to alert them. The neighbor called 911 at approximately 7:40 am.
The three children were declared dead at the scene and paramedics reported that it appeared as though they had been dead for several hours when they arrived. The cause of their deaths has not been released.
The teen juvenile, initially thought to be uninvolved, has been arrested according to KTTV. His name and any charges against him have not been disclosed at this time.
Flores however, has been charged with three counts of murder and is being held by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in lieu of $6 million bail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
