Human remains found in Turtle Creek

Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania: Officers were called to a wooded area in the 200 block of Lynn Avenue, a short distance from Turtle Creek Elementary STEAM Academy, Woodland Hills East Junior High School, and the Turtle Creek Police Department, where human remains had been located on Monday afternoon.

The Allegheny County Police Department has confirmed that the remains were human but no further information is known at this time.

The medical examiner is working to determine cause and manner of death as well as to establish the identity of the remains.
