Clovis, California: On Saturday, December 4, 31-year-old Amanda Hubble was arrested on suspicion that she had been having sex with a minor.
Hubble, who has now been placed on leave pending the results of the investigation, has been employed with the Clovis Unified School District since 2016 when she began working as a choir teacher at the elementary school level.
This was her first year teaching at Clovis High School.
She was booked into the Fresno County Jail on suspicion of two counts of unlawful intercourse and one count of oral copulation with a minor. The Fresno County District Attorney's Office had not filed charges as of Monday morning according to the Fresno Bee, but Hubble's arraignment was schedule for February 16.
She was released from custody at 9:30 pm after posting $20,000 bond.
Neither the Clovis Police Department nor the school district indicated if the minor involved was one of her students, but the police did state that the sexual abuse did not happen in the class room and was reportedly relatively new.
The investigation is ongoing and at this time the school district believes that the case involves only "a single individual."
