It's been over a month since a video with attorney Sam McLure discussing information in the Melody Bannister case has been released.
The most recent video was from July 22 with the one proceeding that posted a short time before that on July 13.
The silence should not be a surprise to those that follow Through the Black on YouTube, or those that read the articles posted to Real Dark News.
While many of us understand the reality of ritual abuse and the atrocities that go along with it- not just during the events, but in the aftermath as well- people that never imagined themselves having to contend with such a beast are trying to quickly learn how to navigate oceans for which there are no standardized maps.
A new video from McLure was posted last night, but dates back to August 13.
In that video, McLure discloses information that likely surprises none of us. There is victim intimidation going on. There are victims that are left fearing for their lives, some of them children.
McLure discloses that Melody was offered a plea deal, but that her team felt it was one that was not in her best interest and so, it was rejected as it contained stipulations that left her at the mercy of those that are accused of abuse by her children as well as community members that have enabled that abuse. She remains in jail in Stafford County, Virginia.
She is "absolutely unafraid of a jury trial."
And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
Hebrews 4:13 (NKJV)
This case involves children and others that have been through horrible events that oftentimes, people have a hard enough time disclosing to close friends, let alone a gaggle of watching strangers from across the globe. These are things that once on the internet, do not easily disappear and so, Melody's team wishes to proceed with care.
In the mean time, there are clearly many aspects of this case that can be prayed over and about.
At this time, Melody has a court date scheduled for September 14 at 1:00 pm in the J&DR Court in Stafford, Virginia.
If you are in the area and able to, we encourage you to join us at the Rally for Innocence beginning at 10:00 am.
For those not in the area, please, pray. There are more people than we realize advocating for Melody and her children behind the scenes who are trying as best they can to deal with what they are now discovering really goes on in this fallen world.
