On Saturday, January 2, a grandfather of three children, ages 8, 7, and 3-years, called the police to report that he had just gotten off the phone with his son who was seeking assistance in escaping after killing his children.
Police responded to the residence and confirmed that the three children had been killed, and immediately began a search for the suspect.
According to investigators, 26-year-old Luis Alfredo 'N' fatally beat his three children after an argument with his wife. In order to seek revenge against his wife and "cause her great pain," Luis murdered the children.
He was apprehended by officers the following day in Sonora at the Ignacio L. Pesqueira, an international airport after he had passed through a security screening.
Luis has been charged with three counts of aggravated murder.
Mexico News Daily reports that Luis had recently called the children "the best thing in my life" recently in a social media post.
