Montgomery, Alabama: Yesterday Montgomery police announced the arrest of 20-year-old Ricardo Diaz Ocana for the death of his 5-month-old son, identified as Austin Diaz Flora.
Last week on Wednesday, April 7, officers were called to a local hospital at about 11:30 am for a report of a child with life-threatening injuries. Austin was transported to Children's of Alabama in Birmingham for treatment, but was pronounced dead on Saturday.
A forensic examination was conducted and his manner of death was ruled to be homicide. The cause has not been released by investigators at this time and the matter remains under investigation.

Ocana is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Detention Facility on a single charge of capitol murder.
According to court records, Ocana was scheduled to make his first appearance in court this morning at 11:00 am.
