I thought it might be fun to take a stroll down memory lane and take a fresh look at some now outdated, but horrifyingly relevant predictive programming brought to us by the good people at Verizon Wireless and Hulu.

Here’s a fun little ditty apparently explaining the real purpose behind the multi-million-dollar Hadron collider in Switzerland, namely, to prove the superiority of the now-defunked Verizon Droid telephone over other comparable 4G phones of its day. Wow. Remember the good old days when all we had to do was read Consumer Reports?

Droid DNA Hyper Intelligence
“Droid DNA augmentation indicated…” Yeah, just the thing I want to hear when I step into a Verizon Wireless dealership. (Note to self: if a minimum wage phone salesman ever offers me a great deal on a “4G LTE brain upgrade,” politely decline). I’d like to still be able to play Angry Birds.

Hulu and Hulu Plus
And now, shifting gears, how about a little in-your-face Hegelian Dialectic? Who said the Clintons were the only ones who thought we were all Deplorables? Given the recent decline of Hollywood (ala Harvey Weinstein, Epstein flight logs, pizzagate, adrenochrome, 2020 theater shutdowns, and NBC not even airing the Golden Globes in 2022…) I find these commercials particularly amusing. Thought no one would notice or care, didn’t you, Hollywood? Not even Ricky Gervais can save you now.
