Westtown Township, Pennsylvania: 36-year-old Victoria Aronson worked at Malvern School in Westtown Township where she is accused of abusing three toddlers between the ages of 14 and 16 months that had been placed into her care.
"The witnesses described numerous acts of physical abuse and mistreatment of the three children" on the dates of September 29 and 30 according to the criminal complaint written by Detective Michael Melswich.
Aronson was allegedly observed slamming one child onto a changing table and holding the child down on the table with such force that the child "was turning purple."
She was additionally reported to be seen holding another child in a headlock with their body dangling, and the child is said to have then been hit in the head by a door while Aronson closed it.
"Victoria Aronson was placed in a position of care for the children at The Malvern School" and was "trusted by the parents of victim child "E," "S," and "J" to properly care for their children and do no harm," Melswich wrote in his complaint. "Aronson violated that trust of the parents and her role as caretaker by knowingly causing physical abuse."
Aronson has been charged with three counts of felony aggravated assault of a victim less than 6-years-old, simple assault, endangering the welfare of children and harassment. She was arraigned on the charges before Magisterial District Judge Martin Goch and has been released on a $50,000 unsecured bond.
Aronson is due back in court on November 8 for a preliminary hearing.
