
Catoosa County, Georgia: The Catoosa County Sheriff's Office announced on Tuesday, November 30 that it had arrested 49-year-old James Everett Sisson on charges of child molestation the previous day.
According to the statement issued by the sheriff's department, they had received a tip concerning "inappropriate contact" between Sisson and an female juvenile while he was working as a cheerleading coach.
"Sisson is known to work with young students to coach them with cheerleading and tumbling exercise skills."
He has been charged with criminal attempt to commit felony and child molestation. He bonded out of custody on November 30 after his initial court appearance.
In his employment as a cheerleading coach Sisson had worked with cheerleaders at Heritage Middle School in Ringgold, Georgia though he had never been directly employed by Catoosa County Schools.
Sisson reportedly brought clients to several gyms in Chattanooga and North Georgia including Culprit Athletics in Dalton, Georgia.
As a part of employment as a cheerleading coach Sisson had previously undergone and passed background checks.
