Sacramento, California: Monday morning officers with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office responded to a call reporting that a woman had been stabbed and needed medical attention.
According to KOVR the 911 dispatch audio recording detailed a young teen stating "he hurt his mother and she was losing a lot of blood." The phone then changed hands to a female that said "her son stabbed her and beat her in the head" and she needed to go to the hospital.
The Sheriff's office issued a release on their Facebook page indicating that an adult female and a juvenile male victim were found at the home, both in need of medical attention. They were transported to area hospitals for treatment and were listed in critical condition.
A 16-year-old and a 13-year-old, brothers, have both been arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Juvenile Hall for attempted homicide.
The mother is said to be recovering, but the younger brother, identified only as a 10-year-old is said to be having a more difficult time.
KOVR reports that they learned that the children were a part of a Christian home school program, evidently affiliated with Grave Valley Christian Center. The elder boy is said to have been an award-winning pianist and active member of the speech and debate clubs.
The investigation remains ongoing and detectives are asking that anyone with information contact their office at (916) 874-5155 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP.
