
South Boston, Massachusetts: Officers responded initially to a radio call on Thursday, November 17 at about 2:15 in the afternoon.
An initial investigation of an apartment located at 838 East Broadway in South Boston revealed "what appeared to be a human fetus or infant."
Officers returned the following day and located still more remains.
In total, the remains of four infants, two boys and two girls were transferred to the medical examiner's office. At least one of those bodies was recovered from a freezer.
"A post-mortem examination was performed on two infant males and two infant females, and the results of the autopsies remain pending."
According to an updated press release issued by the Boston Police Department, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office and Boston Police Homicide Detectives are continuing to investigate the matter.
No further information was released.
