And let us not grow weary wile doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)
You’ve been studying diligently, and buckling down on spending time in prayer.
You understand the seriousness of the calling and what it means to represent the One True and Living God.
You can look back and see how God has grown you over the past few years to the point where you were certain that He was about to let you launch out.
Through the tears questioning if perhaps you misheard, perhaps you missed your chance, perhaps you were disqualified, you persisted. You have refused to look back.
But here you sit, still on the sidelines. You feel overlooked and at times, useless.
Sure, you’re helping somewhere, but you find yourself questioning if you’re not wasting you talents. There’s a fire burning in you for something else despite praying repeatedly for God to remove those desires from your heart if they were not of Him.
Keep on keeping on.
Do everything as though unto the Lord. (Colossians 3:23)
Just as God knew what He was doing when He placed you on the bench to study more and grow after placing that calling into your heart and giving you that initial vision, He knows what He is doing allowing this as well.
In the midst of it, be faithful, no only to Him, but to the position where He has you currently.
Keep studying.
Keep becoming more powerful in prayer.
Keep your eyes on Him.
Keep seeking that open door that will allow you to walk into the calling that He placed on your life, but not at the expense of where you currently are and the people that are there that you could be a blessing to.
See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Ephesians 5:15-17 (NKJV)
He has not forgotten you.
Don’t let yourself forget Him because you’re not where you thought you’d be.
