Maryland State Police issued a news release yesterday concerning the results of a search warrant they had executed at 4:30 that morning in partnership with the Elkton Police Department and Homeland Security and Investigations.
After receiving a tip in October, Maryland State Police began investigating distribution of child pornography in conjunction with the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The investigation led law enforcement to a residence in Cecil County belonging to 70-year-old Edward Slicer Jr., who according to Cecil Daily is the former manager of the Cecil County Parks and Recreation Department.
A preliminary forensic examination of his electronic devices revealed the presence of "multiple child pornography files."
Slicer has been transported to the Maryland State Police North East Barrack for processing on five counts of distribution of child pornography and ten counts of possession of child pornography.
